Job Description

• Build robust, scalable, and maintainable backend services in Go (Golang) for our payment wallet ecosystem.

• Architect and implement features for core payment flows, including peer-to-peer (P2P) transfers, mobile top-ups, agent transfers, merchant payments, bill payments, and cash-ins/cash-outs.

• Optimize systems for low-latency and high-throughput, handling thousands of transactions per second.

• Implement critical security measures for authentication, authorization, data encryption, and fraud prevention.

• Work closely with product managers, front-end engineers, and infra/develop team to deliver end-to-end features.

• Connect with banking partners, payment gateways, billing partners, and other financial service providers via APIs.

• Champion code quality by writing pragmatic tests and participating in code reviews.

• Monitor system health, participate in on-call rotations, and troubleshoot complex production issues in a timely manner.

Job Specification

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.

• 1+ years of hands-on experience with Go (Golang), including a solid understanding of its concurrency model, goroutines, channels, and the standard library.

• Proven experience in designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Solid experience with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) including schema design and query optimization.

• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis, Mongo) for caching or as a primary datastore.

• Experience with IAM platforms (e.g., Key Cloak), OAuth, FAPI standards and secure services and apps with them.

• Familiarity with event streaming platforms like Apache Kafka for building event-driven architectures.

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Padman.

• Understanding software engineering tools and management methodologies: version control (Git), testing, CI/CD, and agile.

• A strong sense of ownership and a passion for building secure, maintainable and reliable systems.
